Who is eligible to participate?
All competitors aged 16 and over are eligible to participate.
Competitors who have not yet reached the age of 18 require a declaration of consent from their parents or legal guardians, which must be submitted when collecting the starting documents. -
When and where can I register?
Registration is open and is possible until 10.04.2025. You can find the registration form here.

Can I change the distance?
Changes of relay team, team name, name or the transfer of the starting place are free of charge until 20.02.26. After that a processing fee of 10.00 Euro will be charged.

I cannot participate. What can I do?
Cancellation until 20.02.25:
- Transfer of the starting position to another person
- Wildcard for the next year (plus 10.00 Euro processing fee)
- Refund of the registration fee (less 10.00 Euro processing fee)
Cancellation from 21.02.26:
- Transfer of the starting place to another person (plus 10.00 Euro processing fee)
as of 01.04.26:
- No more cancellation options, only re-registration on site on the day of the event

Can vouchers be purchased?
If you are interested in a voucher, please contact us by email (info@harz-gravel.de).
The voucher is valid for one year from the date of issue and can be redeemed upon registration. -
How do I redeem the voucher I have purchased?
You can redeem your voucher online when you register. All you need to do is enter your voucher code in the appropriate field when registering online.

By when must a voucher be redeemed?
The voucher is valid for one year from the date of issue.

Is my voucher transferable to other people?
Your voucher code is not personal and can be transferred to another person if it has not yet been redeemed.

How, when and where do I get my starting documents?
You will receive your starting documents on Saturday and Sunday on site at the following address:

Please bring your confirmation email (digital is sufficient for us) with you to collect your starting documents and show this when you collect them.

Can someone else pick up my starting documents?
Of course, someone else can collect your starting documents for you on presentation of a power of attorney. You can find the power of attorney under “Important documents”

How do I attach my race number?
In addition to your handlebar number, you will receive a seat post number with a transponder and cable ties to attach it to your bike at the start document counter.

The start and finish are located on the event site:

Where can I park?
Parking is available in the immediate vicinity of the event site.
If the on-site parking spaces are full, you will find further parking options in the surrounding villages within a radius of 10 km.

Is there also a race for children and young people?
The gravel race over 66 km or 100 km is open to young people aged 16 and over.
There is no pure children’s race. -
Which bicycles are allowed?
All technically sound bicycles (gravel bikes) are permitted.
The following bikes are excluded for safety reasons: Mountain bikes, recumbent/chair bikes, hand bikes, trailers, triathlon or time trial handlebars, all types of handlebar attachments, aluminum and glass drinking bottles. E-bikes are not permitted!

Is there a checkroom on site?
There will be a checkroom for your belongings on the premises. No liability will be accepted.

Is there a technical service?
Yes, there will be a technical bike service on the event site.

Are there toilets/ changing rooms/ showers?
Both toilets and showers are available on site free of charge for all participants. Changing facilities are also available.

Can I take a test drive? If so, when?
On Saturday it is possible to ride the route together free of charge.

Is there accommodation nearby?
There are accommodation options in Wernigerode or in the surrounding area.
You can find them on the usual portals or at Tourismus GmbH Wernigerode.

Is there a minimum speed?
There is no prescribed minimum speed.
Our planned finish time is 16:00.

Will there be catering during the event?
All participants will receive refreshments at the finish. We will also install a snack bar where you can leave your own food (please mark with your name and start number).

Is it compulsory to wear a helmet?
For safety reasons, helmets are compulsory in all our races and competitions.

What do I need to know about the route?
You can expect a varied mix of gravel, sand and firm forest ground on all our routes.
We mark the routes with tape and signs to show you the way. There are also marshals at the most important junctions to ensure your safety.

Do I get a medal?
Of course!

Where is the transponder dispenser?
As we use disposable transponders for timekeeping, these do not have to be handed in. You can dispose of them after the race or take them home with you as a souvenir.

Where are lost property handed in?
Lost property can be handed in at the race packet collection point and to the organization team. If you miss something after the event, please contact info@harz-gravel.de.

Where and how can I find my result/certificate?
The results and certificates will be published online on our website or on the partner website http://www.raceresult.com within 24 hours of the event.
